Monday 18th November - walk *** – The Dip to the Ferry including a
picnic – Mainly cloudy and cold.
We had a little sun first thing but that soon disappeared, cold too lucky
the north west wind was very light, Maeva is feeling under the weather so
took her to the doctor at The Grove so I had a quick walk in the woods
while waiting, loads of Autumn leaves and spotted a few squirrels. Back
home I packed a picnic and quickly did my exercises before driving to The
Dip to walk to Felixstowe Ferry to catch the extra high tide. Not many
walkers out and about today but several golfers making the most of the
light airs, the sea was flat but there was some good waves breaking up the
sea wall. We reached the Ferry just as the tide turned, there was a little
water in the boatyard but nothing too bad, we then sat on the seat near the
jetty for lunch but it was chilly, perhaps the shorts will have to go now,
getting colder for the rest of the week too with sleety/snow forcast, but
falling more to the north so probably wont get any, just rain! Then we
headed back as a big green container ship slowly headed in and the sun
actually made a brief appearance. A quick trip to Lidl and Mag organised
the printing of the little booklet she has put together for my Dads wake on
Thursday and jolly good it is too:)
